Easy Stretches Designed to Keep Runners Limber

If you have a busy schedule, you may feel like you don’t have enough time to exercise, let alone stretch before your workout. However, stretching is important for preventing a painful injury.

This video provides a demonstration of how you should stretch before beginning your exercise regimen. It’s important to warm your body up for 5 minutes before you stretch, as cold muscles are more susceptible to injury. Take your time as you stretch your arms, legs, quads, hamstrings, spine, and calves. Remember to breathe as you stretch; stretching should be a relaxing activity.
